Membership Application Process

How to become a member of Calcot Park

Our membership application process has been designed to ensure that you are happy and comfortable with us and the Club before you commit to membership. It enables you to make a fully informed decision so, please do not hesitate to ask questions at any stage of the process, we're all here to help you in any way we can.

Whilst we are keen to preserve all that is good about the traditions and etiquette of golf and the Club, this approach is never to the detriment of modern standards and expectations.

The application process normally takes 3 weeks as is explained below:

The membership process explained

Collect and complete your application form to join the Club - these are available from the Club office or by clicking on the link below.

APPLICATION FORM

If you have proposers, seconders, and supporters, please don't forget to put them on your application form.

Once received, your application is posted in the Clubhouse foyer for a minimum of 21 days whilst arrangements are made for your membership interview.

During this period, you will be invited to the Club to speak to the General Manager, who will explain to you the financial requirements of joining, plus give you a show-around of the facilities. You will also be able to book a trial round on the golf course.

The next stage is the Membership Interview. The membership interview is a formal 'get to know you' interview with the Captain, Vice-Captain and/or a committee member. This is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you to ensure that you are happy and comfortable with us, before committing to membership.

Please don't worry if you do not know any existing members Calcot Park Golf Club who can support your application to join. Providing your membership application is successful, the General Manager and Committee member conducting your interview will support your application.

Handicaps

Male members applying for membership will need to have a handicap of 28 or lower to apply for membership. There is no requirement for new Lady members to hold a current handicap. However, we do not want the lack of an official handicap to be a barrier to participation or membership at Calcot Park. Therefore, if you don't currently hold an official handicap, you will be able to have a playing assessment with our Head Professional (Alex Lodge), or one of the Assistant Professionals, who will subsequently recommend you for membership based on your playing ability.
